Mossy Creek Fly Fishing Shop:
12/12/11 Five days of our guides getting fat and lazy….we will be back out on the water every day this week. The water levels and weather are looking promising into the weekend.
James and Shenandoah River
Water levels are dropping and the rivers are finally starting too look like they will clean up soon. We are hoping to be back out on the water around Thursday!
Mountain Brook Trout Streams
A few streams are coming back online but we haven’t received but a few reports from the mountains. The cold weather the past few days have kept anglers close to home. We don’t anticipate great fishing until mid week when things warm back up a bit.
We will be back out guiding full force on Tuesday. The weather looks better and better each day until the end of the week. Hopefully the rain this coming weekend won’t amount to much. We have been pounded with a ton of rain recently. Current water levels should hold nicely for the at least a month or 2! We are hoping for more BWO and midge action this winter!
Managed Trout Water
North River, South River, Jackson, Back Creek, Bullpasture, Maury, Passage Creek, should be clearing up nicely mid week and back to fishable levels. We will keep you posted as reports come in!
